Loop reins with metal snaps for quick and easy attachment. On this variant the snaps are attached to spliced loops and can therefore be removed. That way you can easily replace the snap if they were to break, which many snaps unfortunately do sooner or later. Removable snaps are a good alternative if you prefer the simplicity of metal snaps but at the same time want a pair of reins that will last for many years.
This particular variant also has a ring knot that marks the middle of the reins so you can easily see if your reins are even when you are riding. Since reins made of double braided rope are heavier than leather reins they can give your horse wrong signals if they are uneven, but if you have a middle marker on your reins you can easily avoid that.
If you want completely solid-colored reins you can choose the same color for the middle marker as the reins or you can choose a different color for a nice contrast.
Reins with removable snaps can only be made out of 10 mm (3/8") rope since 14 mm (9/16") is too thick to fit through the rings on the bolt snaps. If you prefer thicker reins there are other types of loop reins you can choose from
