Mecate rein with tassel and back splice

Mecate rein with a decorative tassel on the end you tie onto the headstall. The knot on the tassel can be made in 2 different patterns, as shown in the pictures, and the whole tassel including the knot can be made with 2 colors for the knot pattern to be visible. If you rather want a solid-colored tassel, simply choose the same color for tassel color 1 and 2 in the options above.

There are 2 rope dimensions to choose from, 10 and 14 mm (3/8" and 9/16"), depending on if you prefer a somewhat thinner and lighter mecate rein or a thicker and heavier one. The green rein in the pictures is made out of 10 mm rope and the red one out of 14 mm rope.

The lead rope end of the mecate rein is back spliced, which is a neater and more durable way of finishing a rope than just melting or taping the end. The splice also gives the end some extra weight. This end option suits you who prioritize funtionality and durability and do not want any extra details such as knots and tassels on the lead rope end of your mecate rein.
