Long split reins with metal snaps for quick and easy attachment. On this variant the snaps are attached to spliced loops and can therefore be removed. That way you can easily replace the snap if they were to break, which many snaps unfortunately do sooner or later. Removable snaps are a good alternative if you prefer the simplicity of metal snaps but at the same time want a pair of reins that will last for many years.
The rein ends are back spliced, which is a neater and more durable way of finishing a rope than just melting or taping the end. Back splices are also smooth and have a minimal risk of getting caught on something if they get dragged along the ground, so I have chosen to have back splices as the standard end option on all of the long split reins available here on the website. But if you would rather have some other end alternative such as end knots or tassels you are welcome to contact me and I can custom-make long reins just the way you want them.
