Headstall including detachable left cheekpiece made entirely out of rope. The headstall is tied the same way as a rope halter, can be adjusted steplessly and you easily attach a bit or bitless noseband to the headstall with the movable knots on the ends of the cheekpieces. You can find more information about how to do this on the page
FAQ & Info.
Please note that the bit or whatever you plan on attaching this headstall to needs to have rings with an inner diameter of at least 2,5 cm (1") for the end knots on the cheekpieces to fit through. It might therefore be difficult to attach this headstall to for example shank bits and mechanical hackamores, which often have very small cheekpiece rings, but regular snaffle bits are no problem.
The tie end on the headstall is whipped with thin twine to keep the two ropes together. If you want a completely solid-colored headstall you can choose the same color for the whipping and the knots as the headstall or you can choose a different color for a nice contrast.
