Description
Headstall including detachable left cheekpiece made entirely out of rope. The headstall can be adjusted by moving the left cheekpiece loop between the five knots on the tie end and you easily attach a bit or bitless noseband to the headstall with the movable knots on the ends of the cheekpieces. Please note that the bit or whatever you plan on attaching this headstall to needs to have rings with an inner diameter of at least 2 cm (13/16") for the end knots on the cheekpieces to fit through. It might therefore be difficult to attach this headstall to for example shank bits and mechanical hackamores, which often have very small cheekpiece rings, but regular snaffle bits are no problem.
This particular headstall has extra decorative knots on the cheekpieces. All of the end knots on the headstall and the larger knots on the cheekpieces can be made in 2 different patterns, as shown in the pictures, and with 2 colors for the knot pattern to be visible. If you rather want solid-colored knots, simply choose the same color for knot color 1 and 2 in the options above. The smaller ring knots are always solid-colored.
The sizes Mini shetland and Shetland only have 1 decorative knot on the cheekpieces since there is not enough room for 3 knots and are therefore somewhat cheaper than the other sizes.
