On this halter you attach the lead rope to a special rope connector that can move from side to side, so when you pull sideways on the lead rope only the rope connector moves while the rest of the halter stays practically still instead of slipping and turning like regular rope halters tend to do. That way you get a rope halter that gives the horse clearer signals, causes less rubbing and the cheekpieces will not end up in the horse's eyes as easily.
I have personally tested and developed this rope halter design with the help of my own horse and I only use this type of rope halter since I think it works so much better than a standard rope halter. I therefore strongly recommend this halter as an alternative to standard rope halters for you who seek a clearer communication with your horse and want to spare your horse from unnecessary uncomfort.
This particular variant also has a braided noseband as well as a decorative knot on the tie end and the rope connector. There are 2 braid patterns to choose from, as shown in the pictures. The braiding can be done with 2 colors for the pattern to be visible but if you rather want solid-colored braiding, simply choose the same color for braid color 1 and 2 in the options above.
You can add extra nose knots if you want a rope halter that gives your horse extra clear signals and you can also add sidepull attachments if you want to be able to attach reins on the sides of your horse's head. You can then choose between sidepull rings made of metall (like this
halter has) or sidepull loops tied with the same rope as the rest of the halter (as on this
halter).
The rope connector is removable and can be changed to another one if you would like. You can find separate rope connectors
here.
