Description
Split reins with metal snaps for quick and easy attachment. On this variant the snaps are attached to spliced loops and can therefore be removed. That way you can easily replace the snap if they were to break, which many snaps unfortunately do sooner or later. Removable snaps are a good alternative if you prefer the simplicity of metal snaps but at the same time want a pair of reins that will last for many years.
Reins with removable snaps can only be made out of 10 mm (3/8") rope since 14 mm (9/16") is too thick to fit through the rings on the snaps. If you prefer thicker reins there are other types of split reins you can choose from here.
The rein ends each have a decorative end knot. These knots can be made in 2 different patterns, as shown in the pictures, and with 2 colors for the knot pattern to be visible. If you rather want solid-colored end knots, simply choose the same color for knot color 1 and 2 in the options above.
