Split reins with snaps for quick and easy attachment. On this variant the snaps are attached to spliced loops and can therefore be removed. That way you can easily replace the snap if they were to break, which many snaps unfortunately do sooner or later. Removable snaps are a good alternative if you prefer the simplicity of bolt snaps but at the same time want a pair of reins that will last for many years.
Reins with removable snaps can only be made out of 10 mm (3/8") rope since 14 mm (9/16") is too thick to fit through the rings on the bolt snaps. These reins can also only be made with bolt snaps since the rings on scissor snaps are too small to fit a doubled 10 mm rope through. If you prefer scissor snaps or thicker reins there are other types of split reins you can choose from
here.
The rein ends are back spliced, which is a neater and more durable way of finishing a rope than just melting or taping the end. This end option suits you who prioritize funtionality and durability and do not want any extra details such as knots and tassels.
