This bridle is made entirely out of rope and consists of a headstall (including detachable left cheekpiece), a browband and a throatlatch. The headstall and the throatlatch are tied the same way as a rope halter and can be adjusted steplessly. Then you can easily attach a bit or bitless noseband to the bridle with the movable knots on the ends of the cheekpieces. You can find more information about how to do this on the page
FAQ & Info.
Please note that the bit or whatever you plan on attaching this rope bridle to needs to have rings with an inner diameter of at least 2 cm (13/16") for the end knots on the cheekpieces to fit through. It might therefore be difficult to attach this bridle to for example shank bits and mechanical hackamores, which often have very small cheekpiece rings, but regular snaffle bits are no problem.
This particular bridle has extra decorative knots on the cheekpieces, browband and tie ends. All of the end knots on the bridle as well as the larger knots on the cheekpieces and the browband can be made in 2 different patterns, as shown in the pictures, and with 2 colors for the knot pattern to be visible. If you rather want solid-colored knots, simply choose the same color for knot color 1 and 2 in the options above. The smaller ring knots are always solid-colored.
The sizes Mini shetland and Shetland only have 1 decorative knot on the cheekpieces and the browband since there is not enough room for 3 knots and are therefore somewhat cheaper than the other sizes.
