Indian hackamore to be used with a bridle, either a leather bridle or why not a matching rope bridle from Pilgrimsrep?
This bitless noseband has two rein pieces that cross each other under the horse's chin and then runs through small metal rings on each side of the horse's head. At the end of these rein pieces there are loops for attaching the reins and then when you pull on one rein it creates pressure on the opposite side of the horse's head, which encourages the horse to turn away from this pressure in the direction you want the horse to go.
You can add extra nose knots if you want an Indian hackamore that gives your horse extra clear signals.
Please check out the page Size guide
if you are unsure which size to choose. If you are hesitating between two sizes, I recommend choosing the larger size. Thanks to the crossing rein pieces, Indian hackamore adjust themselves to the horse and can become quite a lot smaller than the specified nose circumference but not infinitely larger than this meassurement; therefore it is better to choose a somewhat larger size than one that might be too small.
